Martin Holcombe

Judy Holcombe

I have 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all cheerfully accepted by Martin since our marriage 26 years ago.

Most of my career was spent in various libraries in the Bristol area.

My interests are bridge, mainly social/club with the occasional foray into the congress scene, reading, walking and table tennis.

I enjoy the social aspect of the holidays, sharing meal times, organising table tennis, walks, excursions etc. and like playing with weaker players, trying to increase their confidence. I also ensure guests, especially those travelling alone, have plenty of support in case of accidents or illness – in fact I have considered writing a tourist guide to European clinics and hospitals when I finally retire.

Martin Holcombe

I am a retired police officer. I have played bridge for over 40 years and am an experienced congress player, equally at ease playing with experienced and inexperienced guests.

I am a qualified director as well as being EBUTA qualified and have taught groups locally.

My experience of duplimating and scoring programmes is extensive and am computer literate.

Like Judy I very much enjoy spending time with guests many of whom have become firm friends. My interests are bridge, walking, calligraphy, reading, and table tennis.
