Muiderburg two bids

edited May 2016 in All Things Bridge

At the moment, my partner and I use traditional weak 2 bids in hearts and spades - standard system SAYC - but have been looking at changing this to Muiderburg 2s. We are starting to play in more competitions, rather than just club nights, and therefore need to ensure that any system we use is legal at level 4. The blue book is fairly complicated so I was wondering if anyone had any comments on what we are thinking of below for our 2 level bids. and whether this combination would be allowable. Any thoughts/comments/improvements welcome.

I'm not a director, but the system described looks legal at level 4 to me.

I'm not a fan of including a balanced 18-19 in your 2C bid - that looks too low to me and you might be left in some horrid 2NT contracts. (See my comments on stanfs thread).
